[MUSIC PLAYING] What we're going to do this year is we're going to reach a combined production of 10,000 a week between SX and 3. I feel very confident about that. And we feel very confident about being future complete with self-driving. Next year we'll expand the product line with Model Y and Semi, and we expect to have the first operating robotaxis next year with no one in them, next year. Not in all jurisdictions because we won't have regulatory approval everywhere, but I'm confident we'll have at least regulatory approval somewhere literally next year. So the current cost of Model 3 robotaxi is less than $38,000. We expect that number to improve over time. And redesigning the cars, the cars currently being built are all designed for a million miles of operation. So drive units design and test and validate for a million miles of operation. The current battery pack is about maybe 300,000 to 500,000 miles. The new battery pack that probably will go into production next year is designed exclusively for a million miles of operation. The entire vehicle battery pack inclusive is designed to operate for a million miles with minimal maintenance. So actually adjusting tire design and really optimizing the car for a hyper efficient robotaxi. And, at some point, you won't need steering wheels or pedals, and we'll just delete those. So as these things become less and less important, we'll just delete parts. Just they won't be there.

What we're gonna do this year is we're gonna reach combined production of 10,000 week between SX and three. And now, to have a car that's 370 miles and with steady improvements that are likely to occur over the next few years, it won't be long before we have a 400 mile range car. Then with Model Y, this is the biggest segment of vehicles in the world is the mid-sized SUV. It's 2 and 1/2 times bigger than the Model 3 market. And so we think, probably the demand for the Model Y, will be greater than the S, 3, and X combined. And then we expect to hit volume production towards the end of next year. Internally, we're aiming for sooner than that. But we want to have some margin on that timing. We're making good progress on the Gigafactory in Shanghai. If you've watched the progress online, it gets followed in excruciating detail. [CHUCKLES] I think the number of drones flying over the factory is pretty nutty. We need air traffic control. It will cost less to make the car in China. So we'll be able to have a more affordable car for the China market. So this is extremely important to Tesla's future.

The company is plowing money into making its newest model, the Model Three, and it's a very, very seasonal kind of business. It's still losing money, but the revenues up, and that's why it's jumping.

[MUSIC PLAYING] Today we're discussing Elon Musk who's been going on rants and tirades lately, acting pretty crazy on Twitter and elsewhere. Lisa Marie, do you think he's still fit to run his companies Tesla, SpaceX, et cetera? He definitely is not. He is not showing the right leadership qualities at all right now. He's going on rants. He's calling people-- specifically people who have saved children from a cave-- pedophiles. He's sleeping in his office. He is really not in the right mindset to be running one company, let alone multiple companies. You know, I tend to think that the sort of tirades that he's been going on, these are all manifestations of a personality that has good sides and bad sides. The good part of it is something you want to see in a founder which is that they're going to run through brick walls to change industries. They believe all the pressure is on them. But on the other hand, they could get distracted by some of the details. If there's criticism, he's going to go off the wall at people. Yeah. The thing is it's great if you have these delusions of grandeur but actually reach those goals, which Elon just is not doing. And more than that, he just isn't stepping up to the plate. It's like these delusions are-- that's it, they are delusions.
